Wrap Christmas presents nicely – idea with a homemade bow
There are many different ways to spruce up a gift box for Christmas or any other occasion. A beautiful bow, for example, can turn the simple, one-colored wrapping paper into a real eye-catcher.
For our first handicraft project you will need the following materials:
Tissue paper (different colors)
Wrapping paper
scissors
Stapler
duct tape
Instructions:
Wrap your present with pretty wrapping paper as shown in the picture.
Take a few sheets of tissue paper and cut them into a rectangle. Fold it into a harmonica and tack it in half. Cut the corners at an angle. Separate each sheet of paper. Finally, glue the finished bow onto the gift.
Wrapping gifts for Christmas – designing a Christmas tree out of drinking straws
A small Christmas tree made of colored straws gives the winter gift packaging an individual touch and is the perfect Christmas ornament that can be made in no time.
Required materials:
Wrapping paper
Hot glue gun
duct tape
Pearls
yarn
scissors
colorful drinking straws
ruler
pencil
Wrap the gift with beautiful wrapping paper with Christmas patterns. Draw a Christmas tree, consisting of a triangle and a small rectangle, on it with the pencil. Now shorten the straws to the appropriate length by making each additional straw shorter.
Glue the drinking straws to the wrapping paper and decorate the fir tree as you wish. We used wool yarn, little stars and white pompom for the top.
Wrapping gifts in a different way – simple and quick DIY ideas
If you don’t have time for elaborate gift wrapping, but still want to give the gift a personal touch, our next suggestion might be something for you. The packaging is suitable for light items with a regular shape. In our example, a rectangular pillow is packed to match the occasion.
Required materials:
Wrapping paper
scissors
pencil
needle
thread
ruler
Put the present on the wrapping paper and draw a rectangle on it. Then cut it out in duplicate. Lay the two sheets of paper on top of each other, left sides facing, and sew up both sides. Now put the present in and sew up the open sides. Finally, cut out the protruding paper edges along the vicinity.
