Nicolas Cage wants to annul his marriage to Erika Koike 4 days after the wedding
So early? Just four days after the surprise wedding with his fourth wife, Erika Koike, Nicolas Cage submitted an application for cancellation. The court record also shows that the 55-year-old actor filed for divorce if the marriage cannot be annulled.
The couple married in Las Vegas on Saturday and received a marriage certificate the same day. On Wednesday, four days after the marriage, Nicolas Cage filed an action for annulment. A representative of the actor did not immediately respond to media calls for comment. The reason for their separation is still unclear.
Cage and makeup artist Koike kept their relationship “private”. They were photographed together in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in April 2018 while they were vacationing there. They were seen together again in public in May this year while out for dinner in Los Angeles.
It is not the first time that the Oscar winner has ended his marriage in a relatively short period of time. In 2002, after only three months, he separated from his second wife, Lisa Marie Presley – the daughter of Elvis Presley.
Cage was married to his first wife, Patricia Arquette, from 1995 to 2001. His third marriage to Alice Kim, a former waitress, lasted from 2004 to 2016, so 12 years. In 2005 their son Kal-El was born.
Cage also has another child, Weston Coppola Cage, from his ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton. They were a couple in 1990.
