Modern roof terrace with plants becomes a green roof garden
The architects from Vo Trong Nghia Architects and ICADA have designed a modern house with a white facade and an unusual pent roof. The house is located in the coastal city of Nha Trang in Vietnam and has a tiered Roof terrace with plants, that brings nature to the city. The roof garden is divided into areas with greenery and roof tiles in order to comply with local regulations.
Green architecture – roof terrace with plants
The roof terrace with plants is complemented by a green fence to create a green oasis in the city. The white painted clinker bricks are used for the facade as well as in the interior and combine beautifully with the different plants and tropical trees. The interior is modern, with wooden floors and ceilings that follow the parallel stripes of the roof. The large windows offer a view of the green garden and provide natural daylight everywhere in the house.

The planted roof is designed as an extension of the living space of the house and offers large outdoor areas for relaxation and entertainment. In the middle of the pent roof there is also a gap secured with railings, which can be seen from the interior and emits additional light in the living rooms.
Green oasis in the city
Compared to the houses in the rest of the neighborhood, the house with the roof terrace with plants stands out and looks like a small park. On the roof garden, residents and their guests can enjoy a magnificent view of the hills and coastline of the city of Nha Trang and its surroundings.
