Ingredients for 2-3 glasses:
- 800 grams of ripe pears
- 1 vanilla pod
- 350 grams of sugar
- 1 teaspoon cardamom
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- The juice of a lemon
- 1 tbsp grated lemon peel
Preparation:
- Peel the pears, quarter them lengthways, core them and cut the flesh into small pieces.
- Halve the vanilla pod lengthways and scrape out the pulp.
- Put all ingredients in a large saucepan, mix well and bring to a boil while stirring over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat and let the mixture cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Fill pear jam into sterile jars while still hot, close tightly and let stand upside down for 10 minutes.
- Turn it over and let it cool completely – and your homemade jam is ready!

- 1 kilogram of ripe pears
- 100 grams of brown sugar
- 110 ml apple cider vinegar
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 35 grams of dried cranberries
- 35 grams of candied ginger
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, finely grated
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 clove
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- Salt to taste
Preparation:
- Peel the pears, quarter them lengthways, core them and cut into small pieces.
- Cook sugar, vinegar, cinnamon stick and clove in a large saucepan over medium heat until the sugar has completely dissolved – about 3-4 minutes.
- Add pears, onions, cranberries, ginger, mustard seeds and salt and mix well.
- Reduce the heat and simmer covered for about 50-55 minutes or until there is hardly any liquid.
- Take out the cinnamon stick and clove and fill the pear chutney full to the brim in sterilized jars while still hot.
- Turn the glasses upside down and let cool completely.

Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 firm pears
- 100 grams of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 200 grams of dark chocolate
- 120 ml strong, freshly brewed coffee
- 90 grams of powdered sugar
- 120 ml of cream
- 1 cup of vanilla ice cream
Preparation:
- Peel and halve the pears and remove the core.
- Put the pear halves in a large saucepan with 300 ml water, powdered sugar and vanilla extract and bring to the boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes. Put the pear halves in a colander, drain and let cool completely.
- For the chocolate sauce, put the chocolate in a saucepan with the coffee and sugar and let it melt over low heat while stirring.
- As soon as it is smooth, stir in the cream and remove the pan from the heat.

- 230 grams of apples, grated
- 230 grams of pears, grated
- 200 grams of sugar
- 380 grams of wheat flour
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 180 grams of rapeseed oil
- 115 grams of walnuts, chopped
- 130 grams of raisins
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- A pinch of salt
Cream cheese frosting:
- 100 grams of soft cream cheese
- 200 grams of powdered sugar
- 55 grams of soft butter
- 2 Table spoons of milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 160 degrees and line a baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Mix the apples, pears, sugar, rapeseed oil, raisins, walnuts, eggs and vanilla extract together well in a large bowl.
- Mix the wheat flour, baking powder, spices and salt and gradually add to the fruit mixture.
- Pour the batter into the baking pan and bake for about 1 hour.
- Let cool down completely.
