Whether in muesli, filling porridge or fruit salad, they simply turn every breakfast and snack into a real culinary delight. This is of course no different with drinks. That is why we will show you how you can use them to make wonderful soft drinks for the summer yourself:

For the fruit pulp:

  • 4 fresh peaches, diced
  • 120 g raspberries
  • 300 ml of water

For the syrup:

  • 100 g of sugar
  • 120 ml of water

For the lemonade (8 drinks):

  • 1.7 liters of cold water
  • Juice of about 4 lemons
  • Ice cubes
  • optional for garnish: raspberries, peach slices, sprigs of mint

Make your own fruity summer drinks with seasonal fruit - peach and raspberry

Puree the ingredients for the fruit pulp in a blender. Sieve the puree through a fine sieve and collect the juice in a bowl. The seeds and skin of the fruit should remain in the sieve. Help with a spoon. Set the bowl aside. For the syrup, heat the water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat and boil the liquid for about 3 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the consistency of syrup is formed. Then let the syrup cool down a bit.

In the meantime, prepare the lemonade by mixing water, lemon juice and ice cubes in a jug. Now stir in the syrup and the fruit puree and put the finished lemonade in the refrigerator until ready to serve. You can then garnish each summer drink with fruit and mint.

Lemonade with rhubarb syrup

Rhubarb is incredibly delicious in a cake, no question about it. But even if you want to make a soft drink yourself in summer, this vegetable is ideal. The basis is a delicious syrup that you can easily prepare yourself. This is how you can make the summer drinks yourself, which you can see in the picture above:

For the syrup:

  • 400 g rhubarb, sliced
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 240 ml of water

For the rhubarb lemonade (6 drinks):

  • rhubarb syrup
  • 120 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1.5 liters of cold water
  • Ice cubes

First, prepare the syrup by bringing the rhubarb, sugar and water to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat. Then turn the stove on low and simmer for about 20 to 25 minutes, until the rhubarb is soft. Then sift the liquid through a fine sieve into a bowl. Use the back of a spoon to push the syrup through the sieve to give a little help. Chill the syrup in the refrigerator.

Then you can make the lemonade for delicious rhubarb summer drinks yourself by mixing syrup, lemon juice and water in a jug. Just before serving, add ice cubes.

If you like the fresh taste of mint and want to prepare alcohol-free summer drinks, you can make delicious syrup and then use it to make the perfect summer drinks yourself. We’ll show you how to make this syrup and how to use it to make a refreshing lemonade.

For the mint syrup:

  • 240 ml of water
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 40 g mint leaves, chopped or roughly chopped

For the lemonade (1 drink):

  • 85 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 45 ml of mint syrup
  • Selters
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish

For the syrup, heat the water and sugar and cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved. Take the pot off the hob and stir in the crushed mint leaves. Let everything steep for about 15 minutes, after which you strain the syrup to remove the leaves again. The cooled syrup can then be filled into glasses and stored in the refrigerator for up to a month.

For the lemonade, first mix the specified amount of mint syrup with the lemon juice in a glass and fill it up with seltzer (approx. 30 ml, depending on the glass). Garnish with mint leaves and serve the finished summer drink.

If you would like to make this variant for a delicious and fruity mojito for summer drinks yourself, you first have to make blackberry syrup yourself. You will now find out how this works and how you can then use it to make the ultimate summer cocktail yourself:

For the blackberry syrup:

  • 240 ml of water
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 225 g blackberries

For the mojito (1 drink):

  • 3-4 fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • 40 – 55 ml blackberry syrup
  • 14 ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 40 ml white rum
  • 55 ml seltzer
  • optional for garnish: mint leaves, lime slices, fresh blackberries

Prepare blackberry syrup for summer drinks without alcohol

Bring the blackberries, sugar and water to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat, then simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes. Take the pot off the hob and mash the blackberries with a potato masher. Let the syrup cool for 10 to 15 minutes, then pour it through a fine sieve into a bowl. You squeeze out the mixture with a spoon to get as much juice as possible. You can dispose of the pulp. You can now store the syrup in a sealed container in the refrigerator for about 3 weeks.

Put the mint leaves, blackberry syrup, lime juice, rum and ice cubes in a glass and mix everything together well. Fill up with seltzer and garnish with lime wedges, blackberries and mint leaves if you like.

For 6-8 people:

  • 750 ml Prosecco
  • 450 g strawberries
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

Puree the strawberries together with the sugar and lemon juice in a blender. Then sift the puree through a fine sieve into a jug. You can dispose of the pulp and seeds. Add the prosecco.

Tip: You can also prepare this refreshing drink with any other fruit puree. For example, blackberries or raspberries are also very suitable. Just experiment.

The black currant is known for its strong aroma, which is perfect for juices and other drinks. But syrup can also be wonderfully made from these fruits. Below we have a recipe for a fruity aperitif with sparkling wine and a cassis syrup.

For 2 glasses:

  • 250 ml cassis mother juice
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 sprigs of rosemary
  • 300 ml dry, chilled sparkling wine

Freeze cassis syrup in ice cube molds and use for lemonades

If you would like to make this delicious variant for summer drinks yourself, you first have to make the cassis syrup yourself. Bring the juice and sugar to a boil in a saucepan and simmer over low heat until the sugar has completely dissolved. Add the sprigs of rosemary and cook for another 15 minutes. Then pour the resulting cassis syrup into cube molds (approx. 12 ice cubes) and, after it has cooled, freeze it overnight.

Pour 150 ml of sparkling wine into two glasses and then add one or two cassis ice cubes. If you want, you can decorate each glass with a sprig of rosemary. The summer drink is ready to serve!

Another idea for drinks with alcohol is this recipe with honeydew melon, cucumber and gin. After all, the honeydew melon should not be missing in any summer! If you would like to make such summer drinks yourself and spoil friends and family with them, first prepare a honeydew melon syrup and then the cocktail as follows:

For the honeydew melon syrup:

  • 230 ml of water
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 320 g cantaloup melon (butter melon), cut into pieces

For a drink:

  • 55 ml honeydew melon syrup
  • 40 ml gin
  • 30 ml of seltzer
  • Melon pieces or balls
  • Cucumber slices
  • Ice cubes
  • fresh mint leaves

Heat the water and sugar in a small saucepan and cook both for about 30 seconds. Take the pot off the hob and let the syrup cool down. Then puree the melon pieces together with the syrup in a blender. Put ice and mint leaves, gin and syrup in a cocktail blender and shake for about 30 seconds. Put a few ice cubes, melon balls and cucumber slices in a large glass and then pour the drink from the blender jar into it. Fill the glass with seltzer, stir and serve the finished drink!

Iced tea with peach syrup

We have already mentioned that peaches are wonderful summer fruits. Therefore we would like to offer you another recipe with which you can make iced tea for excellent summer drinks yourself. This time you use homemade peach syrup, among other things. You should prepare the iced tea the day before serving.

For the peach syrup:

  • 2 peaches
  • 200 g caster sugar (or normal)
  • 230 ml of water

For 8 drinks:

  • 2 peaches
  • 1.5 liters of cold water
  • 2 teaspoons of green tea leaves

Homemade iced tea with peaches and green tea

Start with the iced tea: cut the peaches into slices and add them to a large mason jar or other container with the water. Put the tea leaves in a tea strainer and hang this in the peach water as well. Leave the tea leaves to steep in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours. After that, remove them.

Then prepare the syrup by roughly dicing the peaches and bringing them to a boil with the water and sugar in a saucepan. Let the syrup simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes. In between, you can mash the peaches a little so that they release more juice. Take the saucepan off the heat and let the syrup cool down, then use a fine sieve to separate it from the pulp. The finished peach syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month.

To finish the iced tea, simply add a tablespoon of syrup to each glass and fill up with iced tea. It’s that easy to make ice tea yourself for delicious summer drinks!

Summer drinks non-alcoholic and without sugar for children with watermelon

Combine watermelon and lime for summer drinks

However, if you would prefer to make your own drinks for children without sugar instead, you can also choose the following recipe. So if you would like to make your own alcohol-free summer drinks, you need:

For 4 drinks:

  • 900 g watermelon, diced
  • 180 ml of water
  • 4 thin lime slices for garnish
  • Sprigs of mint for garnish
  • Ice cubes

So that you can make the summer drinks yourself, puree the watermelon together with the water in a blender and you can serve the drink and garnish with lime wedges and mint if you like. If the fruit is not sweet enough, honey can also be used to sweeten it. Simply taste the drink until you have achieved the sweetness you want.
