Give away rice mixture in a glass for Christmas

Delicious spreads, sauces, sweets, cookies or a healthy nut mix? If you are already tired of cakes, muffins and cookies and want to surprise family and friends with a new delicacy, why not give away a rice mix in a glass? Most recipes, both for dishes and desserts with rice, consist of dry and moist ingredients. Only dry ingredients with a long shelf life, such as rice, dried vegetables and spices, which are dosed for 4 servings and then effectively layered in the glass, are put into the glass. The gift is lovingly wrapped and provided with a gift tag with the recipe on it. The recipient can then take the dry ingredients out of the glass during preparation and add them to the moist ingredients. Practical and tasty.

Make your own ristotto with dried mushrooms

Which glass should you take? A 450 ml jam jar made of clear glass with a screw cap is best. Alternatively, you can use an airtight mason jar with a swing top. The glass should be filled completely to the brim so that the ingredients do not mix during transport. It is best to stick to the rule of thumb: fine-grained and ground ingredients go into the bottom of the glass, coarse-grained ones are layered on top.

Do not forget to write the shelf life of the rice mix on the gift tag or the label of the jam jar. Keep the filled jam jar in a dry and cool place.

In the following we give you several recipes with rice in a glass. Layer the ingredients in the order in which they are listed. That means: The ingredients that are listed first go into the glass first, the second come second, and so on.
