Prepare New Year's Eve layered dessert in a glass easy recipe with cherries and chocolate

Pamper yourself and your guests with a delicious, nicely arranged dessert. The next layered dessert perfectly rounds off the festive menu for New Year’s Eve and also looks great. Preparation time: 6 minutes, baking time for the chocolate cake base: 1 hour. Optionally, you can also buy a ready-made cake base to save time.

The ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 150 g of flour
  • 30 g cocoa powder, sweetened
  • 2 medium-sized eggs
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 500 g vanilla pudding
  • 700 g sour cherries in a glass, pitted
  • 60 ml cherry liqueur (optional)
  • 300 ml whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
  • 4 g vanilla sugar (1/2 pack)
  • 100 g black chocolate flakes

First you have to bake the chocolate cake base, if you buy a ready-made base you can skip this step and start preparing the dessert straight away. For the chocolate cake base: Grease a springform pan with a diameter of 28 cm. Then preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Mix the softened butter with the sugar until a smooth mass is formed. Then add the eggs and stir. In the meantime you can mix the flour with the cocoa powder and baking powder in another bowl and then gradually add to the egg mixture. At the end, slowly add the milk in a thin stream, stirring constantly. Fill the finished dough into the mold and use a knife to smooth the surface. Bake the chocolate base for 30 – 35 minutes (toothpick test!) At 170 degrees without convection. After the cake base has cooled down, cut it horizontally in three layers. Then cut out 30 circles of the same size with glasses and (optionally) pour the cherry liqueur over them.

Mix the vanilla pudding with 50 g of black chocolate flakes, drain the pitted sour cherries and keep 125 ml of the juice. Mix the whipped cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar in another bowl. Place 1 circle of chocolate cake base on the bottom of the cup, then spread the vanilla pudding with the chocolate shavings over it, garnish with sour cherries, a little sour cherry juice and whipped cream. Layer the whole thing two more times in the same order and sprinkle the dessert with chocolate shavings. Chill the dessert overnight.
