Oscars 2014 – the winners list and details about the award ceremony!

This year the 86 award ceremony was more glamorous than ever – we can guess who won and whether there were any surprises from the list of winners for them Oscars 2014! The hostess Ellen Degeneris and numerous celebrities such as Will Smith, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lawrence presented the prizes.

Oscars 2014 – Best Picture

The American film 12 years a slave, produced by Brad Pitt, won the hearts of the Academy and was awarded the Best Picture Award.

Alfonco Cuaron received an award for best director for the film Gravity. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney also won the film for Best Editing and Best Cinematography.

Jared Letto won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Dallas Buyers Club – again, the award wasn’t surprising.

Lupita Nuong ‘o won the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in 12 years a slave. This was her first ever film role!

The film Her won the best original screenplay, and 12 years a slave was awarded for the adapted screenplay. The film Frozen won for best animated film. The Italian film of great beauty won for best foreign film.
