Kim Kardashian’s new makeup brand KKW Beauty is expected to make $14.4 million in minutes.
According to an article on WWD, Kim Kardashian’s new makeup brand KKW Beauty is expected to make $14.4 million in minutes. The estimate comes from Kardashian’s reportedly $13.5 million in sales from the KKW by Kylie Cosmetics crème lipstick set.
Kardashian is launching her new beauty brand KKW Beauty on June 21st, 2017. The brand will launch with only one product. That product is the Crème Contour and Highlight Kit, which will include a contour stick, a highlighter stick, and a brush/sponge. It will also come in four different colors. The kit will be sold at KKWBeauty.com for $48 each.
A couple of months ago in April, Kardashian collaborated with her sister Kylie Jenner to release the KKW by Kylie Cosmetics crème liquid lipstick set. 300,000 of the $45 lip kits sold out within minutes, making $13.5 million, according to sources with knowledge of the sales.
The Crème Contour and Highlight Kit, however, is expected to make much more than that. It is expected that the reported 300,000 kits will sell out in minutes and make $14.4 million in sales, according to sources.
Kardashian released a statement saying, “we have a good model, and even from our lip kit, we have a really good general idea of what our customer is going to be like. We are definitely prepared for the demand.”
Rumors also began circulating that Kardashian and Jenner would probably get angry with each other over the launch of KKW Beauty. Kardashian, however, said, “I am older than Kylie. We definitely have a different audience. We do have a lot of similar things — but we aren’t doing the same products, so we won’t run into that overlap. We’re really cautious of that. We work together to make sure that we don’t overlap like that,” according to an article on WWD.
The Crème Contour and Highlight Kit will be released on June 21st, 2017 at 9AM PST on KKWBeauty.com and retail for $48 each.
