We want you to have an elegant HM apartment in Vienna that was designed by Destilat. This is an old Viennese apartment with an area of 130 m². The owner wanted a design that does not change the typical look of the old building, but is integrated into the modern furnishings.

As a result, the kitchen became the HM apartment in Vienna built into the living room in order to obtain an additional room that is now to serve as a children’s room. The special thing about this room is that it offers a view of the inner courtyard. Furthermore, here and in some other areas, the floor made of cement tiles was exposed, so that the room receives some color accents that are very welcome in the otherwise monochrome interior. Part of the adjoining, former bathroom was also added to the children’s room. This created a niche in the wall that can now be used perfectly for the bed, leaving more room for maneuver. The rest of the former bathroom of the HM apartment in Vienna now serves as a guest toilet.

To the new bathroom of the HM apartment in Vienna To design, the former entrance area was used. This also had a cloakroom, so there was enough space to build the large bathroom, which looks like a wellness oasis. Tile adhesive was used to decorate the walls, the floor and the bathtub, which was cleverly built into a wall niche, which gives the bathroom a smooth and supple look.

The sauna, which promises relaxing moments, is also hidden behind the large mirrored wall. What in the new bathroom of the HM apartment in Vienna as well What is immediately noticeable is that the new hallway is not separated from the bathroom by the wall and door. Instead, there is a curtain that can be drawn if necessary.

The bedroom of the HM apartment in Vienna again kept its parquet floor, but was extended by a small adjoining room. In this way, the built-in wardrobes were created, which, like the bathroom, can be covered by curtains that extend from the ceiling to the floor.

As for the furniture in the HM apartment in Vienna As far as concerns, these were partly chosen according to the design of the customer himself. The ceiling lights, which are located above the dining table and in the children’s room, are designed by the customer’s wife. Other pieces of furniture come from the designer’s collection. Such are for example the “Camouflage” kitchen made of cement fiber, as well as the “4tothefloor” dining table made of solid wood.

The simple design that occurs throughout the apartment is supported by colors in natural tones. These include gray tones that can be found in the bedroom, on the sofa, on the carpet in the children’s room and the curtains, as well as various nuances of the color beige. This is particularly reflected in the bathroom. Otherwise the walls have a plain white color. The wooden floor made of parquet and some carpets in a cozy beige tone provide warm accents.
