The idea behind the extraordinary truck hotel on wheels belongs to Daniela Carneiro and Eduardo Ribeiro – a Portuguese couple who were traveling in a mobile home for years. They founded the Truck Surf Hotel to share their lifestyle with travelers who want to explore new cities and exciting surfing destinations in a fully equipped hotel.

This is what the Truck Surf Hotel looks like inside!

The Truck Surf Hotel is a converted Mercedes Actros with a hydraulic system that allows the walls to be extended to create additional space. The hotel has two floors – one for the common areas and one for the bedrooms.

On the first floor there is a living room with sofas, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a toilet and shower. After a long day of surfing, a lounge terrace is the perfect place to relax in the open air.

Furthermore, the fully equipped kitchen has a washer and dryer to meet all guests’ needs. At mealtime, everyone gathers around the table, which has breathtaking views of the coast and the ocean. For leisure, there is also a projector and a screen in the living room so that you can watch films in the evening.

A narrow staircase leads to the second floor where the bedrooms are located. The interior walls and the ceiling are completely clad with wood to create a cozy atmosphere in the truck hotel. Add to this the many windows that let daylight into the interior.

Upstairs are the five expanding rooms – four double rooms with bunk beds and a private double room with double bed. Each room is equipped with air conditioning and a locker for storing valuables. Although the furnishings in the bedrooms are not very luxurious, they are perfectly adequate for vacation purposes.

The Truck Surf Hotel is a one-of-a-kind RV with an amazing pop-up floor. The concept of renting accommodation in a double decker motorhome is really a good idea because any traveler would love to have a mobile life for once. However, since there are only five touring seats at this motor hotel, guests sometimes have to travel in a separate minibus, which could ruin the trip a bit.
