A modern architect house in the holiday island of Ibiza in Spain attracts attention with its attractive facade design. The building presents an original fusion of minimalist design language with traditional building culture from the region. In the end, a charming villa was created that is inviting and homely. The project was made by the architects’ office Atlant del Vent designed and realized in 2011.

The builders have long wanted to build a holiday home on the beautiful island of Ibiza. In 2010 they finally acquired a plot of land and hired the talented architects at Atlant del Vent to build your dream home. They also specified an open, minimalist architecture that also looks inviting. Inspired by the beautiful location on a hill, the architects opted for a three-story building – so several patios and large terraces could be designed on every level. The severity of the well-structured facade was loosened up by a wall made of natural stone. In this meadow, a seamless connection between the traditional building culture from the region and the minimalist building method was established.

But the high wall not only looks attractive, it is also very practical and shields the ground floor of the villa from outside views. The second and third floors are more open – there are several balconies and large roof terraces. Cozy patios invite you to relax under the warm rays of the sun, while the infinity pool offers a refreshing cooling off from the heat. An outdoor kitchen offers the opportunity to move your life outside in summer. So nothing stands in the way of social evenings with friends.

Inside, too, the furnishings are fascinating with an eclectic mix of tradition and modernity. The country house style interior looks harmonious and homely. A large fireplace, clad in natural stone, provides warmth in the cold days. Two comfortable upholstered chairs in a strong pink color form a cozy seating area around the fireplace. It is a house where everyone will feel comfortable and where the summer can be really enjoyed with family and friends.
