Infinity pool on the roof in a dream villa in India

Alibag is a coastal city in India known as the Hamptons of Mumbai. Most of the holiday homes of the residents of Mumbai, for whom the region offers an escape from the big city, are located there. In the middle of a natural landscape, the architects from Shroffleon designed this wonderful villa. The house is built on the hillside and has a remarkable infinity pool on the roof. This gives the impression that the house is under the pool. Read on to find out more about the dream villa in India.

Since the customers wanted a house with a pool, the architects attached great importance to it. The amazing infinity pool on the roof benefits from the hillside location of the house and opens up a wonderful view of the surrounding nature. The water from the pool overflows into a small body of water that creates an enchanting waterfall. This special water feature can be viewed directly from the living area, which is designed with glass fronts instead of external walls.

Running perpendicular to the white infinity pool on the roof there is a 20 centimeter deep black pool on the terrace, which is designed for lounging and relaxing. The water from the pool overflows into a waterfall that runs along a stone wall and fills a smaller pool with water below. Right next to it is a white whirlpool with a wonderful view of the forest opposite. The infinity pool on the roof, the shallow pool and the whirlpool are equipped with a total of 1500 glass fibers that change their color and thus create a very special atmosphere after sunset.

The house under the pool has only two bedrooms and is designed with glass exterior walls. These open up wonderful views of nature and remove the boundaries between inside and outside. From the large bedroom you can see the waterfall and the forest, while the smaller one has its own terrace with a beautiful forest view.
