A modern beach house set up for large parties and recreation
“The Sea” is a modern beach house from West Chin Architects in Long Beach, New York, USA. This award-winning 510.97 square meter home has uninterrupted views of Long Beach and the ocean. This deep corner property on the Atlantic Ocean represents an absolutely beautiful dichotomy between nature and man.

This is the first house in the United States to use environmentally conscious BBS wood construction panels from Austria. These panels allow a minimum floor thickness and large spans, and at the same time provide good insulation. The BBS wood is used inside and outside. This element is the warm balance of the large amount of glass on the facade and the thermally reinforced concrete wall panels.

The solar panels on the south facing roof will produce energy during the week when the house is not in use. And on the weekends, it will complement the electrical needs of this 510 square foot home. At the top of the internal staircase there is an 8 meter wide double folding door that opens fully to offer uninterrupted views of the sea, beaches and horizon. Every element in this beach house makes effective use of its natural environment.
