Designer furniture – eclectic composition of table, chair and lamp
Who could say that Designer furniture does not necessarily result from a collaboration. Even the opposite, as the Israeli designer Itay Ohaly recently proved. He hired nine designers to create parts from the composition. The designers were not allowed to communicate during the experiment and should only rely on their imagination.

the Designer furniture are designed according to the non-linear method. The group project includes several pieces of furniture that have to be designed according to a theme. The concept says that each designer should work separately. Then the pieces of furniture are put together. In this way, each individual composition is an exhibition of the work of several designers and architects. In this case, a composition with the theme “The Machine” was designed, which was inspired by the coal mine.
Designer furniture with character – an idea from Israel
the Designer furniture were put together as follows – the chair leg, seat and back were presented at an exhibition in Belgium. The designers Dana Cannam, Joon Han Lee and Agata Karolina strove to design the pieces creatively. Fortunately, only minor changes to the composition were necessary. The lamp was made by Nati Moskovich, Naama Bergman and Itay Ohaly and later attached to the office. The table legs are a result of the work of Christian Fiebig, Amelia Desnoyers and the painter Eugenia Morpurgo. Here the designers faced their greatest challenge – namely assembling the table. The legs have been modified so that they can support the whole construction.
