A Design sink attracts attention with its extraordinary design idea. Product designer Julia Kononenko designs the distinctive washbasin as a tribute to London, as the city was recognized as the center of the industrial revolution in the 18th century. It represents the river canals of central London and through the miniature of these the water will also flow from the pipe. Plywood was used for the prototype, but the same technique may still be used on stone and marble. The designer is planning a whole series of washbasins as typographical depictions of large cities such as New York, Paris, Beijing, Tokyo, and Kiev.
Design wash basins made of plywood – the water flows through the river channels of London
Sink with a kind of city map will be wonderfully suitable for hotels and guest houses and serve as a functional highlight that presents the city in a particularly chic way. Lovers of urban design would certainly want such a designer piece.
