Wood and natural stone shape the facade and interior of a villa in California

Wood and natural stone privacy screen house flat roof

A modern holiday home in the middle of the hilly Californian landscape this is how the project by the talented architects from Jorgensen Design can be described. The flat roof house scores with a sensible room distribution, modern and practically furnished rooms and of course – an effective facade made of wood and natural stone. We present you the charming Villa Oak Knoll.

Wood and natural stone form an attractive duo

The single-family house offers more than enough living space – on 469 square meters there is a spacious living area with dining area, bedroom, bathroom and a cabinet. Large glass fronts allow a distant view of the nearby mountains and seamlessly connect the indoor and outdoor areas. The house faces south – high stone walls shield the north and west facades from outside views and at the same time offer wind protection for the terrace. At the same time, the wooden patio cover provides sun protection and the comfort of the family and their guests during the summer.

Wood and natural stone give the modern architecture a country house look

Wood and natural stone also make the house look cozy and inviting inside. The interior – in a modern country house style – creates a visual connection between nature and modern architecture. Equipped with everything the family could need for their vacation – a modern kitchen, dining area, comfortable lounge area. A fireplace promises pleasant evenings even in cool weather. This is how you can enjoy summer in California!
