The architect’s project John Tong for a renovated holiday home in harmony with nature included an open design of communication areas while maintaining privacy. The existing living pavilion with stone-clad outer walls was given a new look with red cedar wood slats that convey light, air and freedom. The roof was expanded and the entire width of the house was fitted with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors to allow indoor and outdoor spaces to flow harmoniously into one another. In the center of the property is of course the swimming pool with an elegant oval shape and a fountain, as well as the parallel patio. 2 fireplaces inside and outside provide warmth and make the outside area perfect for long sociable summer evenings.

The entire space is only approx. 90 square meters in size and designed with an open construction plan in which the changing living needs are the focus. In order to do justice to these, the living studio can be transformed cleverly and quickly. The interior is characterized by an elegant design language with a mid-century look.
