Rajiv Saini & Associates recently renovated a residential home in Knightsbridge, London, England. the modern house renovation includes various improvements throughout the house. The most important of these is a glass floor that was created at street level to allow natural light to flood into the basement.

That was actually the focus of this project – to make the basement usable by improving the conditions in the room and creating a pleasant atmosphere. The architects have expanded the basement by excavating the courtyard at street level and equipping the dining room in the basement with a glass floor. In this way, the basement is naturally lit with daylight. Another fascinating highlight here is the green wall with a vertical garden, which makes the interior even livelier.

The addition of a glass roof at the top of the house also ensures that the stairwell is naturally well lit. The terrace has comfortable outdoor seating and dining areas. In the interior, mainly warm wood tones and neutral colors can be seen, which optically brighten the atmosphere in the house.
