We present you modern architecture solutions from Australia: The architecture office Clare Cousins has converted, expanded and redesigned a family house on the Mornington Peninsula. Even if it was single-storey, it was Beach house posed a special challenge for the motivated team. In addition to the old structure, an additional guest house was built in traditional wood construction.
Spacious single storey beach house
With the renovation, the architects managed to create new living spaces and to expand the existing living space to the outside. A wooden pavilion was added to the house from the 1970s. It offers an additional 48 square meters of living space. When the architects planned the renovation project, they tried to preserve old design elements and a light facade that looks like new. The furnishing style in the Beach House as well as in the wooden pavilion is sober and functional, in which new and old combine to create a harmonious overall picture.
