Single-family house with glass facade – architecture inspired by the 60s
The renowned architecture firm Ney Lima recently showed their latest project. The minimalist Single-family house with glass facade presents an exciting mix of architectural styles – the building was inspired by the 1960s. Work on the design began in 2008 – and was recently successfully completed. In the end, a stylish city villa was created, where tradition meets modernity.
Single-family house with glass facade – minimalism with a romantic touch from the 60s
Thanks to the simple construction, the villa fits perfectly into the urban landscape of Lago Sul, the original color accents / the swimming pool tiled in red / create a visual connection to the traditional architecture from the area. The house of Ney Lima itself consists of a compact volume with a cube shape. Closed to the street by a high wooden fence, the villa opens onto the courtyard with a garden with a richly glazed facade. The use of glass loosens the severity of the concrete elements. At the same time, the large revolving doors create a seamless connection between the outdoor area with the pool and the living area. The second floor – where the bedrooms and bathrooms are located – is shielded from prying eyes by wooden blinds.
