Vogue has announced the finalists for the 2017 CFDA Fashion Fund as well as four new judges.
According to an article on Fashionista, Vogue has announced the finalists for the 2017 CFDA Fashion Fund. The publication has also announced that there will be four new judges.
The new judges include Joseph Altuzarra, Instagram head of fashion partnerships Eva Chen, Saks Fifth Avenue Senior Vice President and Fashion Director Roopal Patel, and Vogue Runway Director Nicole Phelps. They will work with regular judges like CFDA Chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg and CFDA President and CEO Steven Kolb.
Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour also won’t be a judge for this year’s finalists, according to an article on Business of Fashion.
Kolb released a statement saying,
“while Anna’s schedule won’t allow day-to-day involvement with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, she is still incredibly visible in the entire process and competition. She is aware of each of the applicants, and will be meeting with them in a private setting and attending all CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund events.”
Here are the finalists for the 2017 CFDA Fashion Fund.
Patric DiCaprio, Bryn Taubensee, David Moses, and Claire Sully
The winner will receive a $400,000 while the second place and third place winners will receive $150,000. All 10 finalists will work with designers and industry executives and show their collections in a runway show in Los Angeles at the Chateau Marmont in October. The winner will be announced at a dinner in New York on November 6th.
Vogue will also probably put the competition on YouTube in November like it did last year.
