Calvin Klein Releases Raf Simons’ First Collection for the Brand

Calvin Klein made fashion news when it announced its new made to measure service “By Appointment”. The new service, formerly a celebrity only collection, is now an “open made to measure service.” The brand included the announcement with photos of the collection it posted in Instagram. The collection will include 14 looks and be “a tribute to the Calvin Klein Atelier.” This is also Raf Simon’s first collection for the brand since he was hired in August.

Coach and Michael Kors Said to be Interested in Acquiring Kate Spade

Coach and Michael Kors are reportedly interested in acquiring Kate Spade as the brand is set to hold a formal auction as soon as this month. Other luxury brands outside the U.S. are interested in purchasing the brand as well, according to sources with knowledge of the talks. A total of 6 brands are said to be interested in acquiring Kate Spade.

Mansur Gavriel to Launch Ready to Wear Collection this Fall

Mansur Gavriel will launch its first ready to wear collection during its Fall/Winter 17/18 presentation this September. Showing a Fall/Winter collection in September also means it will be a “see now, buy now” collection. Mansur Gavriel, which won the 2016 CFDA Award for Accessories Deaigner of the Year, hired more people for its ready to wear business. The brand hired designers for the first time last year. Since brand will be showing a Fall/Winter collection in September, there will not be a new collection during fashion week in February.
