Calvin Klein has set the date in which Raf Simons’ debut collection for the brand will be shown. The brand has also announced that both men’s and women’s collections will be shown together.
According to an article on WWD, Calvin Klein has set the date in which Raf Simons will debut his first collection for the brand. The Calvin Klein Fall/Winter 2017 collection will be shown at New York Fashion Week on February 10th at 10:00 AM.
Although the time and date have been set, the brand has not yet announced a location for the show. That will, however, be announced “at a later date,” according to WWD.
What’s more, Calvin Klein has also announced that both men’s and women’s collection will be shown together. Calvin Klein Collection has already shown their men’s and women’s collections together. The main brand, however, has not and is joining quite a few others in doing so.
Bubrerry was one of the first brands to announce that it would adopt the “see now, buy now” business model. When Burberry said that, it also announced it would show men’s and women’s collections together. The two collections were shown last September, joined by Bottega Veneta who also showed men’s and women’s collections together.
Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger, Vivienne Westwood, Emeranigildo Zegna, and more have also announced their plans to show men’s and women’s collections together.
This is both Simons’ debut collection for Calvin Klein and his first collection since he resigned as creative director of Dior. Buyers, editors, and customers alike have been waiting to see the collection since Simons was hired in June.
Along with debuting his first collection for Calvin Klein, Simons will also the next collection for his eponymous label at New York Fashion Week Men’s. The collection will be shown on February 1st. Simons has not yet announced the location for the show.
