My Favorite Bags from the Chanel Metiers d’Art 2018 Collection

Yesterday I wrote about the handbags from the Chanel Metiers d’Art 2018 collection but I wrote about the tackiest handbag in that collection as well as some other bags I didn’t like. The collection did have quite a few bags I liked, though. Bags that only have a small logo embossed in the turn-lock rather that have the brands monogram as the turn-lock.

The collection included quite a few tacky handbags. The tackiest of them was the Flap Bag with Top Handle that had white fur all over it in gold hardware with a large monogram on the turn-lock. There were also a couple of other tacky bags like the Boy Bag with Handle, the Fur Flap Bag, a couple of other Flap Bags, and some crossbody bags.

There were some bags, however, that look good. Some of the bags are pretty classic and minimalistic. Some come in a smooth leather rather than the classic quilted leather and some only have a small logo embossed in the turn-lock rather than the brand’s monogram on the turn-lock. Some of the bags even use just a metal chain instead of a metal chain with leather woven into it.

The 2.55 Flap Bags are my favorite but I like the clutches as well. Also, there are some bags that have the brand’s monogram on it but still look good. Like the Boy Bag as well as some of the clutches and Flap Bags.

Take a look at my favorite bags from the Chanel Metiers d’Art 2018 collection.

The bags retail from $2,100 to $11,500. Some prices are only available upon request, which some bags may have been made in limited quantities. Bags from the brand’s Metiers d’Art collections as well as Cruise, Resort, and Pre-Fall collections are usually made in limited quantities, though. Most brands only make pieces from those collections in limited quantities. Even pieces from seasonal collections are made in limited quantities. Although, more pieces from those collections are usually made.

The bags are available in stores. Some bags have been listed online on, however, they have been listed as only available in stores. There are also only 12 bags available. The bags from Bergdorf Goodman retail from $2,100 to $11,200.
