Mansur Gavriel to Launch Menswear

Mansur Gavriel has announced that it will launch menswear with a collection of accessories for Pre-Fall 2018.

According to an article on The Business of Fashion, Mansur Gavriel has announced that it will launch menswear. The brand will launch with a collection of accessories for Pre-Fall 2018. A second collection will launch for Fall/Winter 18/19 in September, which includes ready to wear and footwear.

The brand, founded by Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel, has only designed women’s clothing and accessories since it launched about 6 years ago.

The first collection will include 11 styles including briefcases, backpacks, totes, and more. Many look like masculine designs of some previously released items that have made the brand as popular as it is with women.


Mansur released a statement saying, “we’ve always envisioned a complete world, so men’s is something we always imagined and are only able to fully implement now.” Mansur continued to explain that the brand has been working on the collection for about 3 seasons or so.

Gavriel also released a statement saying, “it was always at the back of our heads that we wanted to do it.”

Gavriel continued to say, “the leather goods are made in the Veneto region of Italy. They’re high-quality items with an accessible price point.”

Prices range from $195 – $1,395 and the collection will be sold online as well as at the brand’s New York and Los Angeles stores and on, which Net-A-Porter already sells the brand’s womenswear.

Mr Porter Accessories Buyer Simon Spiteri released a statement saying,

it’s a brand we have watched grow over the past few years in the womenswear market, developing a strong customer following. Its simple yet strong brand DNA will complement our existing accessories brand mix onsite. These are great everyday accessories for our customers, who appreciate minimalist style and top quality craftsmanship.

The collection will be designed by the same team that designs the brand’s womenswear and accessories to which Gavriel said, “our team — now at 73 employees — has been growing over the past year. Although production is still small, it’s grown and is still manageable.”

The brand has not yet said when the collection will be available.
