Mansur Gavriel Debuts New Bags and Shoes for Spring

Mansur Gavriel has debuted new handbag and shoe styles for Spring 2017 at a presentation during New York Fashion Week.

According to an article on Fashionista, Mansur Gavriel debuted 9 new handbag styles and 8 new shoe styles for their Spring/Summer 2017 collection. The brand also debuted new fabrics and colors used for both the handbags and shoes.

The new Italian made handbags include the Posternak Bag, the Metropolitan Bag, the Saddle Bag (available in two sizes), the Satchel, the Baguette, the Evening Circle, the Compartment Bag, the Market Bag, and the Long Clutch.

The new shoes included the Elegant Slipper, the 40mm D’orsay, the V Slide (flat and 40mm) the Two Tone Sandal, the Ankle Boot, the Village Sandal, the Crossover Sandal, and the Fisherman Sandal.

As for the new fabrics and colors, Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel used silk, grosgrain, and a checkered print. The checkered print bag is the the brand’s first patterned handbag and this is the first time the brand has released multicolored products.

This includes a light blue bag with a tan handle, a white and black bag, and red sandals with a thick white trim.

Mansur explained why she and Gavriel used the fabrics and colors they did in a statement saying, “We were very interested in color and material and how [they] worked together; we wanted to present a very specific point of view. The color story is very different from previous seasons.”

Mansur Gavriel has not given any specific release dates for the new handbags and shoes.
