A lot has been going on in fashion and I’ve listed the best news stories and editorials in this week’s Good Reads.

Updated: Vogue Arabia Announces New Editor After Firing Abdelaziz

Deena Aljuhani Abdelaziz was all over fashion news when she was reportedly fired as Editor in Chief of Vogue Arabia after just two issues. Abdelaziz released a statement saying, “I refused to compromise when I felt the publisher’s approach conflicted with the values which underpin our readers and the role of the editor-in-chief in meeting those values in a truly authentic way.” Abdelaziz has also been replaced by Manuel Arnaut.

LVMH Sales Beat Estimates as Luxury Rebound Gathers Pace

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, parent company of Louis Vuitton, Céline, Givenchy, and more, has reported a 15% increase in revenue to €9.9 billion (about $10.5 billion) for the first quarter fiscal 2017. That’s compared to a 13% increase last year. The increase also beat analysts estimates of €9.5 billion (about $10 billion). Sales in fashion and leather goods increased by 15%. LVMH joins Hermés International SCA and Kering in reporting an increase after several years of declining sales.

This list includes mostly satchels and crossbody bags but there are a couple of totes as well. Edward Enninful Namaed Editor-in-Chief of British ‘Vogue’

British Vogue was all over fashion news when it announced that Edward Enninful is the magazine’s new Editor in Chief. Enninful replaces Alexandra Shulman, who announced her resignation in January after 25 years with the company. Enninful is also not only the first male in he publication’s history, but the first non-white male editor of a women’s fashion magazine. Shulman will be resigning in June and Enninful will begin working on August 1st.
