Former Lanvin Creative Director Alber Elbaz is on Instagram!

Last month everyone was talking about how Alber Elbaz, the former creative director of Lanvin, was fired by shareholders of the brand. Now everyone is excited because he has finally decided to join Instagram.

Elbaz joined Instagram yesterday thanking his fans for their support saying,

HUGE hugs+BIG thanks 💏to all of you around the world 🌎🌍for showing me so much L❤️VE. The day after my last show 💃💃🏻💃🏿in PARIS🇫🇷 , I met with Kevin Systrom, the co-founder of Instagram. I joked and told him..”I don’t do Instagram because I don’t have ‘photogenic’ 📸friends…only good FRIENDS👫👬 And I don’t take pictures of food …..I prefer to EAT 🍔🍟🍕 But this past 2 wks made me realize how many AMAZING friends+supporters 👫👬👭 I have….And YES,they are all ‘photogenic’…because they are all BEAUTIFUL ‘inside-out’. 🌹🌹🌹 Instagram is a beautiful way to communicate+share L❤️VE. I L❤️VE YOU ALL BACK 💋 I am now on #Instagram !!! 📸 Thank you @kevin 👏🏻👏🏽👏👏🏿💌 👓 Alber @alberelbaz8 #alberelbaz #instagram #iloveyou

This is quite nice because it will be interesting to see what Elbaz works on after parting with a brand he had been working with for over 14 years. I would like to see what more he has to offer the fashion industry but I also want to show you guys some pictures of my favorite outfits from Elbaz’s last show in Paris.

The first outfit may have a lot of fabric, but it’s minimalistic with everything else. That much fabric might make it too hot to wear in the summer so it should be worn in the spring. Also, I don’t really like that handbag. It’s a nice evening bag but I like satchels better.

The second outfit reminds me of Versace. It looks Greek because of those shoes and because of the shoulders. It is perfect for the spring and summer. Although, Anna Wintour wouldn’t like this dress.

Those two dresses were my favorite but there are more that look just as amazing and can see the full collection here. It’s modern but it’s not too loud or ridiculous like some other designers and it will be interesting to see Alber Elbaz bring this kind of design to another brand.

In the meantime, we’ll just have to watch Elbaz’s Instagram to see what he’ll be working on next. I’m sure he’ll be more than happy to share that with us. You can go follow him here.
