Online fashion news publication Fashionista will hold its 6th annual “How to Make It in Fashion” conference, or FashionistaCon, in New York on Friday, June 15th. The event will include discussions about diversity, copyright, sustainability, and launching a brand. The event will also include speakers from companies like Kering.
Discussions include a keynote in which InStyle Editor in Chief Laura Brown will speak. Head of Kering Americas Laurent Claquin and CEO and Founder of Fashionkind Nina Farran will speak at the event as well as some other important people in the industry.
Fashionista editors will, of course, also be attending the event.
On the event’s page on the publication’s website, there is a description for the event which reads,
”if you haven’t had the chance to attend yet, FashionistaCon is a day-long conference geared towards helping attendees find out, literally, How to Make It in Fashion. Running six years strong, our editors curate the industry’s best and brightest to share their stories, and to offer advice during the career-focused panel discussions and keynote speeches. For 2018, we’ll be tackling topics such as how to navigate the path to a racially inclusive fashion industry; adventures in copyright; how to make your fashion line more sustainable; and exactly how to get a niche beauty brand off the ground.”
The event will be held on Friday, June 15th in New York from 9AM to 5PM EST. Tickets to the event cost from $199 to $349. Some tickets, however, have already sold out.
