Child Destroys Over $1,000 of Makeup at Sephora

A child has reportedly destroyed over $1,000 worth of makeup at Sephora.

According to an article Business Insider, a child has reportedly destroyed over $1,000 worth of makeup in a Make Up Forever eyeshadow display. Shopper Brittany Nelson took a photo of the palette in which she says women should leave children at home when shopping for makeup.

Nelson says it was a small child, although, she said she never actually saw the child destroy the palette.

Nelson posted the photo on Facebook in which she says $1,300 worth of Make Up Forever was destroyed at Sephora due to a small child. She says she is sure the child thought they were finger paints and didn’t know he was doing anything bad but that a store with “tons of destroyed product” and “pissed Sephora cast members” is not where shoppers want to be.

She also said, “mammas, please shop for your makeup without your tiny humans. It’s not fun for you…or them…or the expensive product. Anna Heath and I about passed out when we saw this atrocity.”

She continued to explain how she has rules when shopping with her child and that other parents should try those rules so that their children don’t do things like this.

Some people agreed, posting their opinions on social media. Some said that children should be left at home when shopping and others talked about the makeup. Others seem to have disagreed as well with people saying Nelson should get over it and saying that the mom of the child should have been looking after him.

Sephora has not responded to requests for comment.
