Calvin Klein has announced its new made to measure service “By Appointment” and revealed Raf Simon’s first collection for the brand.
According to an article on The Fashion Law, Calvin Klein has announced “By Appointment”. The new service, formerly a celebrity only collection, is now an “open made to measure service.”
The brand included the announcement with photos of the collection it posted on Instagram. One of the announcements read, “a new departure for Calvin Klein: The NYC atelier’s celebrity by-appointment service becomes an individual line.” Another read, “brought to you by Calvin Klein INC: From iconic underwear to bespoke fashion.”
Simons, as quoted by the brand, also said, “Calvin Klein is not only about iconic underwear and jeans. It’s about so much more.”
The collection to be included in the service will include 14 looks and be “a tribute to the Calvin Klein atelier.” It will feature “a full range of handcrafting skills from embroidery to tailoring,” according to the brand. You can see photos of the full collection here.
The collection is also Simons’ first for the brand since he was hired in August. Simons resigned as the creative director of Dior in October in 2015. A couple of months later, rumors began circulating about what brand he would be working at next.
Though this collection is Simons’ first for the brand, his debut collection is the Fall/Winter 2017 collection Calvin Klein said would be released on February 1st.
The new collection and service will be available at the brand’s corporate office at 205 West 39th Street New York, NY 10018. Appointments will be available beginning April 1st. You can email the brand at firstname.lastname@example.org to set an appointment.
