Ashley Graham, one of the most notable curvy model in the industry, has received her first Vogue cover.
According to an article on Fashionista, Ashley Graham has received her first Vogue cover. Vogue UK announced this morning that the curvy model is featured on the cover of the magazines January 2017 issue.
Graham was all over fashion news sites earlier is year when she became the first curvy model to be featured on the cover of the Sports Illustrated: Swim issue. Graham later joined InStyle as a contributing editor with her own monthly column. She was named one of Glamour’s women of the year and was honored with her own Barbie.
Now, she has made yet another accomplishment and landed on the cover of Vogue UK (below).
Graham was photographed by Patrick Damarchelier in New York. She is seen wearing light makeup and a leather jacket from the Coach 1941 Spring/Summer 2017 collection.
Although this is Graham’s first cover, Vogue UK points out that this is the second time she has been featured in the magazines pages.
The cover image is the only one available now but there should be an entire spread of the photo shoot. That, and an editorial about Graham, the image, and maybe the location.
Graham’s Vogue UK cover is also notable for the fact that it’s the first time a curvy, or “plus-size”, model has been featured on the cover of the magazine. Not only is it her first Vogue cover, but Graham is the first curvy model to be in the cover of Vogue UK.
