A lot has been going on in the fashion industry lately so I’ve gathered the best news stories, videos, and fashion articles in this week’s Around the Web. Also, my husband will be on vacation next week so he won’t be working which means I won’t be posting. I will be posting the Best of Haute Écriture on Saturday, though.
Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli Leaving Calvin Klein
Calvin Klein announced that Francisco Costa was resigning as creative director of the brand’s womenswear and Italo Zucchelli will resign as creative director of the brand’s menswear with the latest collections for Fall/Winter 16/17 being their last collections for the brand. Now, after hearing that news, people are saying that Raf Simons or Hedi Slimane may replace them. Steve Shiffman, CEO of Calvin Klein, said that “an announcement will be made” about who will replace Costa and Zuchelli.

Is Karl Lagerfeld Leaving Chanel?
When Hedi Slimane left Saint Laurent and was replaced by Anthony Vaccarello, there were rumors that he would go to Chanel when Karl Lagerfeld resigned. Now, there are rumors that Karl Lagerfeld will be leaving Chanel with the Chanel Cruise 2016 collection being his last collection for the brand. Karl Lagerfeld is not only the creative director of Chanel, but Fendi and his own brand as well. A representative for Lagerfeld had no comment.

Balenciaga Sets First Men’s Runway Show
Balenciage doesn’t make menswear but the brand has announced that it will have a menswear show during Paris Fashion Week. This just after the brand hired Demna Gvasalia as the new creative director after Alexander Wang resigned last year and the Balenciaga Fall/Winter 16/17 show.
