It’s been a while since I’ve written an “Around the Web” article. For those of you who don’t know, “Around the Web” is an article series I post every couple of weeks or so in which I gather the best news stories, videos, and fashion articles of the week.
Hermès Named in Lawsuit for Allegedly Failing to Pay Commissions
Two New York based sales associates have claimed in a class action lawsuit that Hermès has failed to properly compensate them. The French brand apparently has not paid its employees all the commission they are owed. One employee was even fired from Hermès’ Madison Avenue Boutique after asking the manager how commissions are calculated. A lawyer representing the two sales associates co,melted on the lawsuit saying, “Hermès is saying take what we give you — we’re Hermès and you’re not.”

Luxury Shoe Brand Aquazzura Calls Out Ivanka Trump for ‘Stealing’ Designs
Ivanka Trump has been accused on Instagram by Aquazzura for copying the designs of one of it’s best selling shoes. The luxury shoe brand, who also negatively commented on a photo of the shoe in January, accused Trump of blatantly stealing copyright designs and not caring with a photo of both shoes. Trump has not commented on the news.

Dior interviewed celebrities after its Fall/Winter 16/17 show in Paris unlike its haute couture 2016 show as many celebrities actually attended this one. Many people seem to still be liking the brand after Raf Simon’s resignation and it will be interesting to see how they like the brand when it gets a new creative director since they still haven’t got one.
Model of Color Accounted for Less than a Quarter of Castings this Fashion Month
Last month everyone was talking about how this season’s New York Fashion Week was the most diverse in recent years. Now, though, this fashion month’s model castings aren’t looking as diverse. New York was still the most diverse but London, Milan, and Paris still weren’t very diverse.
