Last month I wrote a guide to fashion’s recent resignations and new hires, listing the industriy’s latest and most notable creative director resignations and new. hires While I wrote that just last month, there have been quite a few more people resigning from brands and brands hiring new people and all of that can be a little difficult to stay updated on. So, today I’m going to give you an updated guide to fashion’s resignations and new hires.

Karl Lagerfeld to Resign as Creative Director of Chanel

Karl Lagerfeld didn’t leave Chanel but there were many rumors that he would be and that the Chanel Cruise 2016 collection would be his last collection for the brand. Both Lagerfeld and Chanel haven’t made any comments but many people quoted Lagerfeld saying that he doesn’t want to stop working. There were also rumors that Hedi Slimane would be replacing Lagerfeld at Chanel after he resigned as the creative director of Saint Laurent and people began talking about it again when they heard that Lagerfeld may resign.

Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli Leave Calvin Klein

Last month, Calvin Klein announced that both Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli left the brand with the latest collections from Calvin Klein for Fall/Winter 16/17 being their last collections for the brand. After Calvin Klein announced Costa’s and Zucchelli’s resignation, there were rumors that either Raf Simons or Hedi Slimane could replace them.

Jonathan Saunders is Diane Von Furstenberg’s New Creative Director

Last week, Diane Von Furstenberg announced that Jonathan Saunders is the brand’s new creative director. Saunders was rumored to be replacing Raf Simons at Dior when he closed his own brand in December last year but now he won’t be. Both Diane Von Furstenberg herself and Paolo Riva, CEO of the brand, released statements about how well they think Saunders will do at Diane Von Furstenberg.

Jonathan Akeroyd is The New CEO of Versace

Versace announced Monday that Jonathan Akeroyd will be the brand’s new CEO, just a couple of weeks after he resigned as the CEO of Alexander Wang. Akeroyd being hired at Versace also means that he will be replacing Gian Giacomo Ferraris. Kerous is said to be starting June 6th.
