Amazon Full of Counterfeit Louis Vuitton and Kylie Cosmetics Products

Amazon is reportedly full of counterfeit Louis Vuitton, Kylie Cosmetics, and Apple products with some products being sold through the retailer’s shipping service.

According to an article on The Gaurdian, Amazon is reportedly full of counterfeit Louis Vuitton, Kylie Cosmetics, and Apple products. Some products are even being sold through the retailer’s shipping service.

Despite lawsuits and well-known brands talking about it, the retailer is full of counterfeits.

The Guardian said the counterfeits were sold through the company’s marketplace, which allows third parties to sell directly to customers where the company takes part of the sale.

The publication continued to say,

some items, including the counterfeit AirPods, were sold using the ‘Fulfilled by Amazon’ service, which allows independent retailers to ship their products to Amazon, where it stores the items in its own warehouses, uses its own staff to pick and pack them, and ships them using Amazon Prime delivery and Amazon Logistics drivers alongside its own orders.

A representative released a statement saying the company “investigates and takes action on 95 percent of all notices of potential infringement received [by way of its internal] Brand Registry within eight hours.”

While many brands say the company isn’t doing enough to keep counterfeits off its website, its sales and profits continue to increase.

This isn’t much of a surprise, though. Websites like this and eBay have always been full of counterfeit items. Especially when brands release new products or become popular. There are many counterfeit Gucci products on those websites as well as other popular items.

As for if the company will take the counterfeits off its website, we’ll just have to wait and see.
