The U.S. Bankruptcy Court has approved Aeropostale’s filing to change its corporate name to “ARO Liquidation”.
According to an article on Bankrupt Company News, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court has approved Aeropostale’s filing to change its corporate name to “ARO Liquidation”. The brand is also still discounting everything online.
About a month ago, the brand filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to change its corporate name to “ARO Liquidation”. The filing didn’t explain why the brand filed to change its corporate name but it’s pretty obvious why.
The brand has pretty much been liquidating its inventory online. Every week there is a sale. Ever since last year there has always been a sale on the brand’s website and it usually offers between 60% to 70% off everything. There are other sales but those are ones the brand has the most.
There was a sale where you could get up to 70% off everything during the 4th of July weekend. Before that, the brand had a sale where you could get up to 80% off clearance items. The brand also had a sale where you could get 60% off everything when summer began. The brand is still offering up to 70% off everything and is offering up to 40% off clearance items as well.
Also, the brand hasn’t released anything new since February. Earlier this year the brand finally released new products for spring and summer after having sold the same items pretty much all year in 2016. The brand hasn’t released anything new since then and probably won’t release anything for fall and winter either.
It seems the brand is trying to liquidate all of its inventory. Especially since it just changed its corporate name to “ARO Liquidation.” Just after the brand filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy, it began closing stores and offering 75% off everything. The brand was also giving similar discounts at stores that weren’t closing. The discounts aren’t that much but the brand is still offering them on almost everything in stores.
Pretty much everything the brand sells can be bought on a discount. Even the new products that were released in February were discounted immediately after release. The brand is liquidating its inventory online and will probably liquidate all of its inventory both online and in stores.
